Day 4 - Sea Day

Drink of the Day – Green Iguana

Today was a lazy day at sea. It was party cloudy, 79 o and very windy. We picked up four diners plus a baby from Norway. The man is a personal friend of the captain. We also got a new waiter who seems to only have our table, although maybe he has others. He is extremely attentive and seemed to come with the captain’s personal friend. He keeps calling us his children which we find a bit strange.

We did learn last night that our Maryland table mates personally know Michael Phelps. Because both families lived in the same area and belonged to the same swim club, they watched Michael grow from a neighborhood swimmer at the pool to an Olympic Gold Medalist.

We learned that around 600 people will be getting off the ship in Rio de Janeiro and few, if any will be getting on. We are already only at half capacity so it should be interesting with even fewer passengers.

Tomorrow we will be in St. Maarten, which is probably making Al nervous. Good jewelry buys to be had there. There should be more to report tomorrow evening so stand by.

We did see El Gaucho perform last night. He did look a little scary in his pictures and even more so in person. The truth is, he was loco, but a very talented musician and entertainer and very funny.

You may have noticed that we have posted the cute drink of the day at the beginning of each posting. It should be noted that other than the CocoLoco, we have not actually had any of them yet. It seems that our unregistered roommates, Captain Morgan, Jack D. and Mr. Smirnoff have pretty much cancelled the need for the D of the D.
